Cameroon Women Association Cameroon celebrating 60th Anniversary. Founding and Mission: CWA was established in 1964 in Buea, Cameroon, with the goal of empowering Catholic women through spiritual growth, education, and community service. Members study the Word of God, strengthen their Christian faith, and engage in evangelization work within the Church and the broader community. CWA has grown beyond its humble beginnings and now extends to the diaspora, including branches in the United States (Houston, Dallas, Maryland, Baltimore, Delaware, Atlanta, Boston, Minnesota, and Los Angeles). Through Mary! To Jesus. To serve and not to be served—this motto encapsulates the CWA’s commitment to faith, service, and love. CWA continues to play a significant role in fostering holiness, service, and empowerment among Catholic women in Cameroon.
